Tests and checkups to start surrogacy journey
According to the Law 787 from 09.09.2013 there is a special list of the required checkups and tests for surrogacy for both spouses to pass be allowed to use ART.
Female Tests for Surrogacy
- physician’s medical comment about the woman’s somatic health and absence of any contra-indications to carrying a child to term;
- Blood group and Rh-factor;
- Complete Blood Count (CBC) made no more than 1 month before that;
- coagulogram;
- syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B and C (made no more than 3 months before that);
- IgM, IgG blood count for toxoplasmosis, chlamydia, CMV and rubella;
- bacterioscopic analysis of discharges from vagina, urethra and cervical canal;
- cytological examination of uterine neck swabs;
- complex gynecological checkup;
- US of small pelvis organs;
- blood count for AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone), prolactin,follitropin, lutropin, progesterone, estradiol
Additional (on the doctor’s request):
- uterusandits’ tube examination: hysterosalpingography, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy;
- colposcopy;
- TEB (timed endometrial biopsy);
- bacteriological examination of the urethra and cervical canal material;
- blood count for testosterone, hydrocortisone, thyroxin, triiodothyronine, thyrotropin, somatotropin;
- karyotyping;
- checking the level of glucose in the blood;
- examination for urogenital
- examinations for TORCH-infections;
- conclusions of other doctors;
- photoroentgenography;
- US of internal and thyroid gland;
- US of mammary gland for women who are under 40;
- mammography for women above 40;
- biochemicalbloodcount( generalbilirubin, renal and hepatic tests, glucose)
Male Tests for Surrogacy
- Blood group and Rh-factor:
- Complete Blood Count (CBC) for syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B and C (made no more than 3 months before that);
- spermogram;
- hotoroentgenography;
Additional (on the doctor’s request):
- andrologist’s consultation;
- karyotyping, medicogenetic consultations and other molecular-genetic examinations;
- examination for TORCH-infections;
- blood count for thyroxin, thyrotropin, triiodothyronine, testosterone, prolactin, follitropin, lutropin
- DNA-fragmentation;
- MAR-test.
