Tests and checkups to start surrogacy journey

        According to the Law 787 from 09.09.2013 there is a special list of the required checkups and tests for surrogacy for both spouses to pass be allowed to use ART.

        Female Tests for Surrogacy

        1. physician’s medical comment about the woman’s somatic health and absence of any contra-indications to carrying a child to term;
        2. Blood group and Rh-factor;
        3. Complete Blood Count (CBC) made no more than 1 month before that;
        4. coagulogram;
        5. syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B and C  (made no more than 3 months before that);
        6. IgM, IgG blood count for toxoplasmosis, chlamydia, CMV and rubella;
        7. bacterioscopic analysis of discharges from vagina, urethra and cervical canal;
        8. cytological examination of uterine neck swabs;
        9. complex gynecological checkup;
        10. US of  small pelvis organs;
        11. blood count for AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone), prolactin,follitropin, lutropin, progesterone, estradiol

        Additional (on the doctor’s request):

        1. uterusandits’ tube examination: hysterosalpingography,  laparoscopy, hysteroscopy;
        2. colposcopy;
        3. TEB (timed endometrial biopsy);
        4. bacteriological examination of the urethra and cervical canal material;
        5. blood count for testosterone, hydrocortisone, thyroxin, triiodothyronine, thyrotropin, somatotropin;
        6. karyotyping;
        7. checking the level of glucose in the blood;
        8. examination for urogenital
        9. examinations for TORCH-infections;
        10. conclusions of other doctors;
        11. photoroentgenography;
        12. US of internal and thyroid gland;
        13. US of mammary gland for women who are under 40;
        14. mammography for women above 40;
        15. biochemicalbloodcount( generalbilirubin,  renal and hepatic tests,  glucose)

        Male Tests for Surrogacy

        1. Blood group and Rh-factor:
        2. Complete Blood Count (CBC) for  syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B and C  (made no more than 3 months before that);
        3. spermogram;
        4. hotoroentgenography;

        Additional (on the doctor’s request):

        1. andrologist’s consultation;
        2. karyotyping, medicogenetic consultations and other molecular-genetic examinations;
        3. examination for TORCH-infections;
        4. blood count for thyroxin, thyrotropin,  triiodothyronine, testosterone, prolactin, follitropin,  lutropin
        5. DNA-fragmentation;
        6. MAR-test.
